Hey...he kept Mendenhall on the bench for an extra year at Illinois. He has to be pretty good. Also, nobody gains 200 total yds by accident unless there is a broken play like he did against the bears last year. I knew he'd be good. He's just inconsistent now. I don't see him moving on. I don't think he has the speed to be a feature back. The Saints backfield pairing w/ he and Bush is ideal for both their talents. "Deuce" bag moves on and Pierre assumes his role. That's how I see it! Mendenhall is a bust. Go ahead and give me shit. I know...I know. You liked McFadden better. At least Mendenhall didn't get to flounder this season like McFadden did. Now my thoughts on MacFadden are confirmed. That guy is fragile and easily tackled. He get's taken down by LB's in space. Inexcusable!! At least I can hold out hope that Mendenhall is not a bust yet. We'll have to wait for next year. Clearly, this year's RB class is amazing with Forte, C. Johnson, S. Slaton, J. Stewart and Hightower (in that order).

And only one of those listed above was in the pre-season top four as McFadden, Mendenhall and Felix Jones all dealt with injuries. This class of RB could definitely be special indeed . . . but let's see how many of them can maintain it . . . even Rashaan Salaam rushed for 1000 yards in his first year
