The Force have clinched their division and everything else is up in the air. I did not go deeply into the math here but only the Outlaws and Crush are definitely eliminated. Deeper analysis may show that the P1MPS are also eliminated due to possible tie-breaker scenarios and that the Phish Brigade are also in already due to the same. Just going by the records though only the Force, Crush and Outlaws are assured of their outcomes. Everyone else keeps battling . . . these last two games should be division games. Good luck all!!

That strategy can work out well Neil . . . it is what I did in year one of this league and the results since then speak for themselves.

If you include Cutler...who pretty much should be on IR, I've got 6. Britt and Leshoure hurt the most, and Cutler should pretty much end any playoff hope of mine. Can't believe I am still in the hunt.

I know we have 1 more week but on the ESPN site I'm not listed in the playoffs. It is a 4 way tie between me, Irish, the Swaggers and those Minnysota boys. I beat Irish and Swagger and lost to 357. I also have more points than 357.
I'm confused.
I'll just have to beat Hellfire this week. ;D

The ESPN tiebreakers are simply best record then total points. We do not use those tiebreakers and when the playoffs are decided I will make a full post on how the spots were determined as is required in the league rules. I will also fully update the playoff possibles tomorrow in light of the results this weekend. As of now I can say that yes, if the Swamp Dragons beat the Hellfire they are in the playoffs as a division champ due to tied overall records and a 2-0 H2H record.

I need a bye in the worst way.

Playoff Possibles Update:
The Force have won the Barry Sanders division and claimed the #1 overall seed via holding the tie-breaker over the Phish Brigade via 1-0 H2H record.
The Phish Brigade has won the Walter Payton division, but can still lose a first round bye to the Texas Hellfire. The Phish Brigade must lose, the Hellfire must win and the tie-breaker comes down to total points (0-0 H2H) . . . the Hellfire currently hold an 83.5 point lead in that category. If the Phish Brigade wins then they claim the 2nd bye.
The game between the Texas Hellfire and the Jersey Swamp Dragons will determine the championship of the Jim Brown division. The Dragons hold the tie-breaker if they win (2-0 H2H), they will finish 2 games behind if they lose.
Wild Cards:
There are currently 4 7-5 teams for 3 wild card spots. However, one of those team has a shot at a division title. Here is how it breaks down.
If the Hellfire wins this week, the Swamp Dragons will be 7-6 and tied with any of the current 7-5 teams (Irish, Swagger, M357) that lose this week. The top three teams left make it in.
If the Swamp Dragons win this week, the Hellfire at 8-5 will be tied with the 7-5 teams that win this week.
Tiebreakers for the 5 teams involved are as follows:
H2H: Hellfire - 0-1 Irish and M357; 1-0 Swagger Swamp Dragons - 0-1 M357; 1-0 Irish and Swagger M357 - 1-0 Swamp Dragons and Hellfire; 0-0 Irish; 0-1 Swagger Irish - 2-0 Swagger; 1-0 Hellfire; 0-0 M357; 0-1 Swamp Dragons Swagger - 1-0 M357; 0-1 Hellfire and Swamp Dragons; 0-2 Irish
After the H2H items of ALL tied teams are evaluated the tie-breakers go to total points because this is not for division champs.
There is no way for the Hellfire to miss the playoffs completely, but they can finish as low as the 6th seed. If the Hellfire lose and all three other 7-5 teams also win then the H2H tiebreaker breaks down as 3-0 Irish, 1-1 M357, 1-2 Hellfire and 1-3 Swagger . . . thus the Swagger will miss the playoffs. If the Hellfire lose and any of the 7-5 teams lose then the Hellfire will automatically make the playoffs due to overall record.
There are a lot of cases of win and you are in this week, so let's get to it. Games start tomorrow with Philly and Seattle. Don't forget to set your lineups and good luck to everyone out there!

We play Bill this week, and i wouldnt have it any other way to test our chances out for a playoff run. Maybe the only way we win is if he plays all his backups, even then its debatable whether we could have a shot . Its great to see as many teams still in the hunt this late into the season. Good luck to all.

Well...at least I get to look forward to another top 6 draft pick spending his entire rookie season on IR, and having another player perform well enough to limit his functionality the following season (aka Arian Foster 2010.....Kevin Smith this year???).
