Teams are limited to a maximum of 30 players on the roster at any time. Teams are not required to keep a minimum number of total players, but they must carry at least 1 QB, WR, RB, TE, K and D/ST at all times. There are no DL/IR positions available to teams. Benches are deep enough that they should account for any injuries that would otherwise require IR slots. Only players that have been eligible for the NFL draft and are now considered NFL players or free agents can be on a USFL roster. That is, no NCAA players may be added to the roster.
Starting Positions: 1 QB 2 RB 3 WR 1 TE 1 WR/RB/TE Flex 1 WR/QB/TE Flex 1 K 1 D/ST
Cumulative fantasy points from these 11 positions will determine winners/losers for the week. Players' individual starting spot will lock at kickoff of their game. Team rosters will lock for the day at the kickoff of the first game of the day. ESPN does not have these exact flex positions available, however Offensive Position (OP) flex spots are used. Any team caught starting more than 3 RB or more than 2 QB in a given week will have their score for that week reduced to zero (0) by league management.
Message Board Requirements: Teams are required to keep an updated roster on the USFL message board, especially during the offseason. Teams are also required to keep an updated transaction log on the message board that shows all trades made and all FA drop/adds. If there are ever any disputes over player ownership, these transaction logs on the message board will be the document of record for every team involved.
