I wouldn't mind either way. I'm usually at my best with more teams. I have one issue though.
Looking at that second flex position, I think we can all agree that, unless we have ridiculously great receivers, a second quarterback will be taking that spot. That being the case, we all have to draft 2 quarterbacks who will probably start. That means at least 5 teams will not have a 3rd quarterback who is an NFL starter.
Now of course you could just start your backup every week and start a WR on the two weeks your QBs have a bye week, so it isn't like it would kill us or anything. But it did cross my mind and I wanted to put that out there.

I would like to see us stay at ten teams, cause of drafting 30 rounds. But I'm cool with whatever the league decides.

Crunch the numbers in another way . . . if all flex positions are used as WR only then with 12 teams 60 WR are started every week meaning that all teams WR1 and 28 of 32 WR2 are starters in our league. That seems reasonable . . . if people start using QB and RB in those flex positions then the quality of WR goes up every time one is substituted. And that doesn't even take into account that in my calculations only 12 TE are being utilized and they can be used in the flex as well if needed. I think we will have PLENTY of depth and be able to use creativity to put together all sorts of teams.

As a side note . . . I think all of the votes but 1 are in and the consensus is that they would like to stay at 10 teams but wouldn't terribly mind 12 teams.
In my mind, 12 teams alleviates the playoff problems we were trying to cope with in that we won't have 6/10 teams making the playoffs (which really irks Chris and I) and we will be able to have three weeks of playoffs, thus eliminating the 2-week championship that several others did not like and not cutting our fantasy season short in week 15 with only a two week playoff (4 teams) . . . I think that since everyone is really ambivalent and we have two active owners ready to go that will only make the league even more fun by their participation that we should expand to twelve teams.
Any strenuous objections?

That's a 93% vote that's not objecting to the 12 team concept. Let's go with it and get our draft positions.

Chris and I discussed some things and with Neil pointing out the percentages . . . 12 teams is official . . . The Mudsharks will be added to the team rosters in just a minute and Phish needs to name his squad. The USFL is complete . . . draft information will be posted soon.

I have no problem either way. I like the 10 team setup w/ 30 per, but I am not opposed to a 12 team format. However, if we do 12 teams, the rosters should be shortened to about 26 players, as the player pool will be quite expended by the time we reach 300 players.
Also, I'm w/ TD Machine. After seeing that 2nd flex option, I was thinking QB all the way for that start w/ 10 teams. W/ 12 teams, it may be more difficult to get good QB depth for that position, even though WR and TE are always options. It certainly won't be impossible to manuver, but may be unnecessary. If we stay 10 teams we keep it, but if we go 12 teams, maybe we should remove the 2nd flex option, or at least the QB aspect of it, IMO.
