the goal in every fantasy leauge is to get to the playoffs from there is a crap shoot usually when its a 4 team playoff, if healthy for playoffs westy is more valuable then any other rb.

A few thoughts: - Portis was taken much too early for my taste. He was a beast last season until about the last 5 games where he was noticably worn down, and during FF playoffs to the dismay of many. Also, he enters his 8th season as a featured RB w/ tons of touches. Both of those factors raise a huge red flag for me. Even though he is only 28 at the start of the season, he slips down a tier or 2, and continues to fall the rest of his career.quote] That's exactly why I'm trying to trade him in my other dynasty league with the same scoring. He has 2,500 career touches, came into the league at the age of 21 and it has been statistically shown that after 2000 - 2500 touches, RB's decline steadily. I'm trying to move him for R. Brown, but the guy did his homework and pointed out the touches to me. I'll find a sucker to take him just like I found a sucker to take LT.

Yes and no...the goal is to win your fucking league. 2nd place is 1st loser. Its not good enough just to get to the playoffs. I (with the exception of one year where I had a lot of injuries) have made the money round of my playoffs every year (7 of 8). I've won twice, got runner up another and other years I've just made the consolation bowl. You have to do your homework and scope out playoff matchups early on. You have to build your team. Its funny how the same sorry bunch of douchebags have never made the playoffs in our money league. Bill and I always laugh our balls off at this one jackass who plays/pays every year and sucks donkey ass every fucking year!! He has not made the playoffs once in the 8 years I've been a part of the league and Bill says he's never sniffed the playoffs in 12 years. Un-fucking real!! People always wonder why I want trade some WR2 for a WR1 (cause the WR2 has better matchups and the WR1 has terrible matchups). Come the playoffs, its all about matchups. I mean...no one is sitting AP or R. Wayne or Calvin Johnson, but there are times when you knew Kevin Walter was going to have a great game or when E. Royal was going to torch someone. The playoffs aren't as much of a crapshoot as you might think.

in a competitive leauge it is, every high risk to high reward will be enough to separate your self from a pack.

A few thoughts: - Chris Johnson is the pure definition of upside. He has already proven to be a RB1 and will now be used even more in his 2nd season w/ the Titans. I didn't plan to take the same player in both drafts, but Johnson couldn't be passed in either one. - MJD will do fine, and look for the Jaguars to address the WR and OG positions in the upcoming draft. - I highly doubt we will see Westbrook last even 14 games, which is why he is lower on my cheat sheets than most. He has yet to play a full 16 game season, and his smallish body has taken an absolute beating over the years. His decline begins now. - Portis was taken much too early for my taste. He was a beast last season until about the last 5 games where he was noticably worn down, and during FF playoffs to the dismay of many. Also, he enters his 8th season as a featured RB w/ tons of touches. Both of those factors raise a huge red flag for me. Even though he is only 28 at the start of the season, he slips down a tier or 2, and continues to fall the rest of his career. - I'm surprised to see Gore get picked in the PPR draft before the non-PPR draft, especially w/ Martz's departure and Singletary installing the "Cram it down your throat" offense. He will get more carries and less catches. I have to agree... Portis went too early for me. Yes, that's right... even me... the guy who took LT. ( I got rhymes and fantasy football skills! ;D ) I was an owner who suffered from Portis wearing down late last year. First round bye, and then bupkus in week 15. It hurts even more when I had the points to win in week 16 had I been in the championship game. Congrats again Brad. Are we in agreement yet that the first round isn't as cut and dry as it used to be? There are no guarantees that anyone who was drafted with the last 5 or 6 picks will finish top 3. The Titans have lost Haynesworth. And White will still vulture touches and TD's from Johnson. Westbrook is older and his division has some front seven's that are even stronger ( on paper ) than last year. MJD doesn't automatically get a ton of touches without Fred Taylor. Gore is in SF... and they still don't have a passing game to take the pressure off. And Forte could improve on last years numbers. But that's not a given either. Cutler is a hot head. And he's gonna get frustrated by forcing the ball to the WRs he has.

Ain't Phish speaking the truth. After AP in a Non-PPR, there are no guarantees and about 6 - 8 RB's (if not more) worthy of the 2nd spot. My feeling is that the draft, OTA's and Training Camp/Pre-Season should create some tiering though. We'll just have to wait and see.

Can I take back my LT pick? I just saw that the AFC West ( Chargers ) plays against the entire NFC East ( the teams that I'm been saying will be tough against the run ) PLUS the Steelers and Ravens! Tough schedule for the AFC West this year!

think we might finish this mock draft before the real thing?? If by the real thing you mean the Superbowl... then it's somewhere between questionable and probable. LOL

no, I meant befor we know who is coming out for the 2010 draft, lol! This is ridiculous, since it's so early, why don't we start over with at least a 1 hour time limit??

really, at this pace, 2 days/round, we're looking at over 2 weeks for a mock draft! So half of your picks are going to be pre-draft, and half post draft.... not going to be helpful at all....

WR and QB for Outlaws 1st 2 picks in the non-PPR....ouch! Also, how the hell did D Will slip so far in the PPR mock? Welcome to the board, Jeffro. This mock is certainly taking longer than I thought it would, but one thing us league members learned about each other during our initial league draft is our schedules are all out of wac. Some of us work in the morning, I work in the evening, I think Swamp still works in the middle of the night some of us are in school, a few of us have no access to computers or iphones during work, and some of us are newish Dads w/ babies or young children taking up a lot of our time. I think our initial league draft took almost a month.

I think our initial league draft took almost a month. The value at RB wasn't there in the Non-PPR and its a mock draft. I've seen this approach successfully undertaken in some of my other leagues. I was hoping SJAX would fall to me but he was taken right before me. In a 14-team league the value of Brees will be more noticeable than a 10 or 12-team league. Last time I checked, Fitz and Brees aren't a bad way to start out a team. I predict more unorthodox selections from me at the 14th slot. Let's revisit after 8 rounds. I'll be fine. Agree with you that D-Will was a steal at 1.14 in the PPR. He was the top scoring RB in this scoring system last year and I can't imagine he'll fall to 14th all of a sudden. Hell...he was mostly irrelevant the first 5 games (accept for 1 game) and he was still the top scorer.
