Players:
Rights to any players owned by the team may be traded at any time, there is no time restriction on trades. However, all teams must stay within roster restrictions on trades. The 30-man roster limit is a hard limit and may NEVER be exceeded. The minimum of one at each position limit is a softer limit and teams may be allowed to pick up a FA to fill this need at the completion of a trade if necessary. This will be determined on a case by case basis.
Draft Picks:
Individual draft picks in the initial 2008 league draft may not be traded. However, your ENTIRE draft may be traded for someone else's if both of your first round picks have not yet been made.
Future draft picks may not be traded until April 1st. That is, 2011 draft picks may not be traded until April 1st, 2010.
Trade Approval and Disputes:
Trade protests may be logged by either posting concerns and reasoning in the "Trade Talk" forum or by sending a PM or e-mail to either of the league commissioners. PM or e-mail is the preferred method.
All trades can/will be approved/denied by league management in a timely manner. Decisions of the league management are final. In the case where one of the league commissioners is involved in a trade the decision of the other commissioner is binding. In the case where BOTH commissioners are involved in a trade some system of league feedback will have to be established.
Outside Resources:
Commodities outside of USFL players and draft picks are not subject to being parts of trades. No cash or items of any monetary value, personal labor or favors may be exchanged as part of any deal. Trades will be evaluated by league management on the basis of players and draft picks included only.
Trade Deadline
The Trade Deadline shall be the first Sunday kickoff of the last week of the regular season. Only trades posted and accepted on the message board before that time will be considered by the LM's for approval. Trading will re-open at the conclusion of the Monday night game of USFL Championship week.
