But an error message popped up. Something like: "Cannot change username to something stupid". Or something like that. Honestly Gregg, don't you have more important things to think about? Confirming your roster, updating your transaction history, improving your team? LOL I think we should really just go double or nuthin. Waddya say friend?

We are all MEN first and everyone knows that a bet is a bet and should always be honored. I would have paid up on my bet about the ties if it had happened and no one even remembers that one. So yes . . . I have the power to make the change and I have done so Congrats on winning a bet Generals . . . The Wide Rights are official.

Well, it appears we have had some divine commish intervention. That's fine.
For the record, the bet made no mention of the ESPN site. That's why I never changed it.
And if we want to get picky, I've been known as the Scott Norwood Wide Rights on the boards since last November. By my calculations, that leaves about 4 months left before the great Phish Brigade gets plastered everywhere.
With a little resistance, I did in fact own up to the bet. Like I said, the ESPN site was never mentioned.
So in the spirit of fairness, I won't change anything on ESPN if one of the following occurs:
1 - Gregg accepts my bet on a double or nuthin deal. If so, naming rights are mine until the end of this fantasy season.
2 - Gregg brings his transaction history up to date.
It's your call, friend.

fine ill give ya a double or nothing option, its the only option i will ever offer ya for this bet, if ya win you get to keep your name, however if you lose you must be known as the scott norwood wide rights forever on espn and here? You will never be able to change your team name So you want your double or nothing, you got it now lets see how bad you want it

So, if it's double or nuthin... the Scott Norwood Wide Rights are done right?
Just to be clear, starting today, I take control of my team name rights, username, sig and avatar space.
If I finish the 2009 season with a better record ( tie-breakers in effect ) than I control your team name rights, username, sig and avatar space forever. If I lose, then you control mine forever. Is this the deal? If so, then we have a deal.

no not at all, your the one that wants a chance to redeem yourself, i have nothing i need to redeem, i have stated what it will cost you, there is no other negative penalties for me then other then you have your own name again. Come on man i have blown my team up and your the one calling for your double or nothing stakes, so if you want it the only risk in this bet will fall on your side.
Trust me you won't be able to instigate me into putting my team up for rights, cause of now your the only ass-clown that doesn't have the ability to control his team names, no matter how many terrible trades i've made no matter how terrible my team looks. No matter how much you rip on me for my grammar, ya i know you are the grammar police. You will always be the guy who had to bare a humiliating name for a bills fan. That is far worst then anything you can mock me about.

Ok, so far I'm a coward and an ass clown and humiliated. I don't get it, but I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually. Trust me, I'm not humiliated. This is the first that I've heard that I haven't owned up to the bet. I clearly remember changing my team name before the Monday night game in week 13. I haven't heard shit about it since. I've even given you ample opportunity to bitch about it by my "Dear Gregg" thread. So I don't wanna hear any shit about not honoring the bet. ESPN isn't open year round. The trash talk happens on this site. I didn't think ESPN was part of the deal or that anyone really cared.
Believe it or not, I'm not interested in a bet where you have nothing to lose. It's not like we're talkin big bucks here. Why would I go double or nuthin when I'm still "honoring" the bet this year and you have nothing to lose? Especially when I'm a shoe in to finish this year with a better record? The truth is: I want to see you lose more than almost every game this year. Nothing more.
And I've been asking to go double or nuthin for months by the way. It's not a chance to "redeem" myself. It's me playing the odds that I won't lose like 5 guys to IR two years in a row.
It's not my fault you blew your team up. Just like it's not my fault that almost all of my starters were hurt/missed time/gimped up last year.
Trust me... I'm fine either way. No worries Gregg. You won last year. Congratulations. You obviously had a far better team than I did. And after this year I'll just go back to slammin yer grammar and the regular trash talk. And maybe the odd " Update your transaction log bitch! " ;D

so you play one on one basketball with someone for 10 bucks, you lose and you owe that person 10 bucks. You say to that person " hey lets go double or nothing" your opponent says "sure".
Option A you play and you win and you owe that person $0
Option B You lose and you owe that person $20
Now explain to me how the person who won the first time can in anyway have a penalty either he loses no money or won 20 bucks. So why should i have to worry about a penalty if i lose a double or nothing?

The part that you are missing here Gregg is: I've been known as the Scott Norwood Wide Rights for months. In a double or nothing bet, the loser doesn't pay up, then play a second time in the hopes of getting his money back. In a double or nothing, the loser of "round 1" is out no money. If the loser of "round 1" loses again in round 2, they pay double. Maybe it's my fault. Since I have actually honored the bet, I guess a true double or nothing isn't possible.
No worries Gregg. It's fine. We'll just leave it be and move on. I guess it's too bad your team was so shitty that you had no choice but to blow it up. And I guess that's what bothers me about our bet. I can congratulate you, but from my chair... the best man didn't win.
I wouldn't expect anyone to make a bet with your team this year. But I thought it was worth trying.

Gregg, forget it dude. It's over. I'm the Scott Norwood Wide Rights for the rest of the year.
Your team isn't good enough to make a bet with, and you're not as dumb as I thought you were... so there's no point in talking about it anymore. I thought it didn't hurt to ask since you like to yap as much as I do, but there's no point. You won. You da man. Maybe in 3 or 4 years your team will be good enough for "round 2". We'll talk about it then.
