Well fellas,
What do you all think of the following dynasty trade I just made in another diehards league going into its 3rd season?
I gave R. Rice, Magahee, Josh Morgan and my 4th (4.07) for SJAX and his 3rd (3.02)?
Scoring and starting are the same except that we don't have that QB/WR/TE flex position. 12 team league too.
My starters are as follows:
QB: K. Warner RB: DeWill, Portis WR: G. Jennings, S. Holmes, R. White Flex: SJAX TE: Carlson K: Crosby Def: Chargers
Notable Bench Players:
QB: Big Ben RB: Julius Jones (ouch) WR: T. Holt, D. Thomas, D. Clowney (Mr. Preseason) TE: Z. Miller Def: Redskins
Rosters are being expanded from 25 to 28 man rosters.
All else on my bench is garbage.
My picks for Rookie/FA draft which starts tomorrow are as follows: Picks 1.07, 3.01, 3.01, 3.02, 3.07, 5.07, 6.07, 7.07, 8.07.......
FYI, we had no waivers all season so players like M. Cassel and A. Bryant are there for the taking. It makes for a deeeep draft.
Feedback please....

I kinda like it. You gave up a couple of young players, but I understand it. You're gonna need a stud to replace Portis and SJax is a stud. If McGahee is done and Rice doesn't carry the load for the next few years, it's a really good trade for you. Especially getting the 3rd rounder instead of a 4th.

See if you can find a dip shit in your league who goes for name recognition and try to move Julius Jones for ANYTHING, I'd also consider moving Big Ben if you can get something good!

I was the dipshit who gave a 4th rounder for JJ last year. He's a complete waste of a uniform.
Big Ben is a reasonable QB especially a QB2. I'll need to get a young QB to replace Warner.

Wonder if it's possible that someone would give you a pick between 1.08 and 1.10 so you get snare Sanchez or Stafford, and I think you said Cassel is available as a FA?? Then just be ssure to trade for Lienart (which shouldn't be that difficult)...

Then just be ssure to trade for Lienart (which shouldn't be that difficult)... Wrath owns Leinhart and likes him. I'll try again this year, but he likes certain players and won't trade them. First four picks have gone as follows: 1. Moreno (no brainer) 2. Donald Brown (bit of a schocker) 3. McCoy (nice pick here by Wrath) 4. Harvin (understandable in a PPR, but there was better value on the board) I'm 7th. I'll get Maclin, Beanie or Crabby. I'm staying put and loving the fact that I'm going to end up with a stud. I'm almost certain that Wells will go next cause this guy's RB2 is Maroney. He was starting Jason Wright the later half of the year. That was the league gloater himself....NLAX.

I like the trade and I'm not a big SJax fan. He is better than the guys you're giving up and it gives you a very strong flex player. Also you upped your draft pick a round...nothing ever wrong with that.
Overall good trade.

Solid upgrade to SJ, but I would have tried to hang onto R Rice. I got a feeling about that guy that he is going to absolutely blow up when McGahee is out of the picture. Not a bad trade though.
Who is the moron who took Harvin over Wells? Really??? Even Brown and McCoy over Wells can be questionable, but both of those guys have looked really impressive so far, and Wells does have an injury history. But Harvin??? What an idiot!

Without a doubt, I know that R. Rice will blow up. Ironically, the guy who drafted Brown and Harvin is the guy I made this trade with. R. Rice will be the next Westy (hopefully not the walking injury report, but all else). He's a 3 down RB who picks up blitzes well and catches the ball out of the backfield effortlessly at only 22. He's also a tough runner on a run first team. I think Rice will end up the year as a top RB2 with potentially low RB1 stats in 2010 and beyond. I just wanted to win this year and next. I know I can keep drafting well and stocking my teams coffers. I can't believe that I'm going to end up with Crabtree, Maclin or C. Wells at pick 1.07. I don't need them to produce this year so I should be golden.

Losing Rice sucks, but hopefully SJax can put his injuries behind him. I've been kicking myself in the ass ever since I let Ray Rice go in this league. DMC better prove he's stud material!

Thanks for trying to make me feel better Bill... but Rice was a wayyyyyyy better draft pick than Morgan! LOL You can beat me like a drum all you want, just don't beat me like a government mule. LOL X 2 A wise man once said: “A mule will labor ten years willingly and patiently for you, for the privilege of kicking you once.” Instead of 10 years, I'm hoping to get it done in 3 months. I'm one of those "eager beaver" types. Please accept my sincerest apologies now in case I'm too busy gloating in November! LOL ;D Don't dare me dude!!! You know I'll do it!!!!!!! LOL cubed

It was Fitz, Rice for McFadden and Gates. Then I turned around and Traded Fitz, Rice and the Generals #2 for Turner, DeSaun jackson and a #1. Not too bad on my part.
