He wants UC to guarantee him better practice facilities and other facilities that help him recruit and he wants more for his assistants. I have a feeling he will get it

He needs to leave while he is hot. Kind of like the Rutgers coach should of left a couple of years ago.

He needs to leave while he is hot. Kind of like the Rutgers coach should of left a couple of years ago. explain to me with ND schedule, there academic standards that impact recruiting how they will ever be relevant. If Brian Kelly goes there he will put up the same record as the last three and will be run out of town. No qb no wr next year means he will already start with a poor record, recruits haven't flocked to rich rod in UM because of the mess he ditched a team before the bcs game, they have no trust in the coach, that is the biggest part when a player's parents allow him to attend school, he has a contract a good one, and he is going to leave in the middle of it and not live up to his end, bad example for the kids your trying to mold

agreed, the job isn't what it used to be, a good coach would have to be be doing some careful analysis before accepting.......my hunch is they (Coaches deciding whether to accept the gig) will feel the same as Gregg is pointing out?

No link. This information is not even out yet. Let's just say I have a "friend" of the ND program.

the way the story is going, Brian Kelly really is handling this poorly, the NCAA needs to do something about the way coaches leave, in a quick fashion. I understand ND needs a coach to recruit, however not having your coach at Sugar Bowl game against Florida hurts UC just as much. The 13-0 season will help them drastically. My prediction Kelly fired in 4years no BCS victories either

its fine, i was wrong i guess i have the feeling you should never leave your man in the trench by himself. If you know your taking the job, don't tell your players your behind them, and your sticking with him on tuesday. Then switch and try to thank them thursday night for putting him in postion to get the ND job.( That comment alone shows he is about himself)

Being a diehard ND fan I am pleased with the hire. Only time will tell what he can do at ND. I do wish he would be able to coach the Bearcats in the bowl game then come to ND, however with all the recruiting needing to be done he needs to be at ND. His assistants will coach Cincy then follow him to ND, as most of them did from Central Michigan to Cincy. My ? to some of you is how can you blame him for taking the ND job? Regardless of ND's record the past 10+ years, they are still the most talked about football program in the country. When they suck it's top news when they are great it's top news. National tv contract with NBC. Look at Alabama, USC, Texas, Oklahoma, Florida they all went thru their down period, hell I remember when John Robinson was coaching USC and they sucked for 10+yrs. Notre Dame will be back, because it's Notre Dame. Look none of us are talking about Florida, Bama, USC, OK, or Texas....We are talking about the IRISH....you see my point!!!!! Unfortunately Cincy is a stepping stone for up and coming coaches. All of us in our professions whatever they may be wouldn't turn down the money or a top job if it was offered to us. We would give our 2 week notice and be gone. IRISH P1MP
