Just throwing it out there. Have you guys ever thought about going to a 3 4 team divisions? You play everyone in your division twice and everyone outside your division once, with the exception of one team..

My money league was that way. The only difference was in week 11 we had a double header. I wasn't a big fan of that because if you had a bad week it could really knock you out of any chance of the playoffs. I wouldn't mind not playing one team a season, knowing I was going to kick their ass the next! ;D

I'm cool with the option for a double header or 2. Who cares if you have a bad week that week. Any double headers would of course take place during a non-bye-week week, so all teams could be at full strength. One double header is not bad at all, it is when you start having 3 or more that concerns about bad weeks become reasonable.

I still have no desire for 3 divisions. Again,Brad and I set up this league to be different from other leagues.

and I believe you are wrong Gregg. You should have played all 6 teams from the other conference now. 3 the first year and 3 last year.

I played the same schedule two years in a row. That is one of the major reasons I suggested shaking up the divisions every year. The other was to promote uninhibited trading. Renegades and Undertow were very reluctant to trade with one another because they were/are in the same division.

I also just went back to the ESPN site and compared the 2008 schedule to the 2009, and confirmed that we played the exact same teams on the exact same weeks both season. I agree that we should sort that out, especially given the fact that it now seems the NFL teams excercise the same bye weeks each year, so in week # 8 when 60% of my players are on bye week, I play Detroit, who may be closer to full strength. IMO that would be fine one year, but not something that I would like to see happen every year. (For the record, I still beat his ass this year in week # 8

Uless LM wants to manually set a schedule each year (which would involve going back through history to set the match ups for the current year), I think it may be easier to mix up the way we do the divisions. I know the idea was to be different, how about this: (4) divisions of 3, you play each division once (3 divisions x 3 teams/division) = 9 games + your own division 2 times (2 teams x 2 times) = 4 games This equals the 13 weeks of regular season, you could randomly draw positions each year to place into the divisions to prevent the unwillingness to trade with certain teams as Neil pointed out. That way the only work LM has to do is run the teams through a randomizer to select who is in which division?? Just a thought, I know as commish in several leagues myself, having to manually adjust things is a real pain in the ass! Thanks!

My bad, I was supposed to switch the matchups this year. You should play everyone in the league every two years.

I played the same schedule two years in a row. No wonder my team has sucked so bad. I had the same schedule two years in a row! LOL In all seriousness, I'm down with anything that doesn't involve double-headers.
