I have previously talked about how the division schedule will rotate on a yearly basis, well in getting things ready to put in to ESPN I have found that it becomes even simpler than that. The schedule will be set every year and only week 10 matchups will change from year to year. The teams will not be constant from year to year, but the division positions will be. I have lined everything out in detail below:
Payton Division 1st-4th are numbered 1-4
Sanders Division 1st-4th are numbered 5-8
Brown Division 1st-4th are numbered 9-12
In even years the following matchups do not happen:
1-8, 2-7, 5-12, 6-11, 9-4, 10-3
In odd years the following matchups do not happen:
1-12, 2-11, 5-4, 6-3, 9-8, 10-7
In even and odd years the set of matchups listed above that ARE played will be played in week 10. The rest of the schedule always looks as follows:
Division Matchups:
Weeks 1 and 11: 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12
Weeks 2 and 12: 1-3, 2-4, 5-7, 6-8, 9-11, 10-12
Weeks 3 and 13: 1-4, 2-3, 5-8, 6-7, 9-12, 10-11
Non-Division Matchups:
Week 4: 1-5, 2-6, 9-3, 10-4, 11-7, 12-8
Week 5: 1-6, 2-5, 9-7, 10-8, 11-3, 12-4
Week 6: 1-9, 2-10, 5-11, 6-12, 3-7, 4-8
Week 7: 1-10, 2-9, 5-3, 6-4, 11-8, 12-7
Week 8: 5-9, 6-10, 1-7, 2-8, 11-4, 12-3
Week 9: 5-10, 6-9, 1-11, 2-12, 3-8, 4-7
Week 10 as described above
The teams numbers for this year are shown below . . . your schedule will then be above. I am going to change this on ESPN shortly and update the full schedule. Please post below if you approve or see changes you need made. Once a majority of the league has approved then this will be moved to the official league rules.
