Certainly does not stand for habanero because they are not playing hot after getting shutout for a third time this series.

Its a shortenting of the French phrase for Canadiens in a way . . . they call them Les Habitants . . . pronounced phonetically as lay hab-ee-taw, meaning those who habitate in Canada . . . thus, the HABS. I think it's cool in a way . . . why would Canadians call their team the Canadians? They just call them the people who live here :-)

I was going to throw out the Habanero, but James beat me to it; plus I didn't think Phish would appreciate me saying that Canadians are viewed as pussies and can't handle a Habanero.

That figure skating shit still being played now? (I jest) Im actually semi-interested in the upcoming FIFA World Cup Soccer tourney. It will be held in Cape Town South Africa, where my wife is from and where i visited for 2 weeks on vacation. However Rugby is my wife's sport of choice, soccer is one im still trying to learn to like (hockey has a ways to go...but may happen someday).

The flyers and habs had no business making it as far as they did/have. Blackhawks in 6 is my guess, Rob if you wanna get into hockey watch the playoffs. Many people will tell ya they hate the NHL regular season but they love the playoffs, i am different but thats cause i played, and there still some people like Chris that love it anyway.

GO FLYERS!!! ;D
Hey Rob, you cannot talk about hockey if you are actually trying to take interest in soccer. SOCCER IS FUCKING BORING!!! How the fuck can anyone find a game that can end in a 0-0 tie exciting? That confounds me.

I stick all of those "overseas sports" (soccer, rugby, australian rules football, cricket) in a single category of "I could be interested, but I really don't understand it"
Soccer is too slow and boring and every player is a fucking primadonna that goes down like he needs his leg amputated every time he gets touched.
Cricket seems complicated and can take a week to finish a match!!
Rugby and Aussie football seem truly interesting but I can never really understand what is going on and tend to watch it with an NFL like mentality, which is obviously not quite right.
You can leave me to NFL and MLB . . . with some NBA and NHL on the side if the Rockets or Stars are in it. Of the odd/out there sports the only one I really like is curling. Especially once I realized that the hammer doesn't switch unless you score with it. Now the game makes sense!! :-)

Phish has been awful quite as of late... Rumor has it that he was purchasing all of the assets (i.e. buttloads of hippy lettuce) from the approximately 1,000 medical marijuana stores that will be shutdown in L.A. County next month. The local news was reporting that a crazy Halifaxian named Derek was roaming the streets with red-eyes and a buss load of chronic. Just my hunchin' (Copyrights to Phish owner of the USFL franchise formerly known as the Halifax Redeye-Jedi) to steal a Phishism. ;D

But if you want to pronounce it correctly, it would actually be ( phonetically ): Lays Hab-ee-tahn Think of the "ton ton" in Star Wars, but with very little emphasis on the "n". Ya gotta get your creole/Louisiana accent going. And by the way, my thoughts are with everyone who is affected by what's going on in the Gulf Coast right now. Absolutely horrific.

Blackhawks vs Flyers....no Habs! Blackhawks in 5... congrats Chris. I'll be happy to see them win actually. Kane and Toews are an awesome young duo. They're pretty much the only original six team other than Montreal that I'd support winning the Cup. Hey, if they win 20 more... they'll inch closer to the legendary Habs! =P

Phish has been awful quite as of late... Sorry about that fellas. You guys miss me don't ya? LOL Truth is, I've been beating the shit out of Philly on the XBox. I got sucked into another dyno league draft too. I'll be around. It helps the mourning process of being a Habs fan right now. ;D
