here comes the flack: oh nevermind,I'm guessing whatever I would say wouldn't change your mind. Dante Stallworth blew a .126. Lets just say I couldn't disagree with you more!

My negativity toward that DOUCHE wasn't necessarily a result of his recent arrest (although I don't condone it either)....Just HATE THE FAAAACCCKKKKK out of the guy, mostly because I drafted him as the # 1 WR off the board a few years ago, ever since he has played like a little fucking 12 year old girl!

Perhaps I should take a step back here. I realize that this can be a very touchy subject. And if anyone in the league has lost someone to clear stupidity, I'm truly sorry. Again, I would never truly think that drunk driving is cool and should be tolerated. All I meant to say was that the # that a breathalyzer produces isn't full proof. Other factors can and should be considered. Don't forget, the guy that Stallworth hit was crossing a causeway at sunrise. Not complete darkness, but can almost be a far worse time of day to drive. - More importantly: the guy was running across the causeway, apparently to catch a bus after his graveyard shift on a construction site. - I've worked graveyard shifts that required a lot of physical labour before. I've driven home from work and literally passed out within 5 minutes of sitting down. Fully clothed, dirty and with a full coffee at my side... completely untouched. I can honestly say that my reaction time would have been better while driving with a case of beer in my belly. - A video of the incident apparently exists. The family settled. While Stallworth's sentence was really light, mainly due to his celebrity... I understand it. - The guy who lost his life in the accident was probably dealing with a case of impaired judgement far worse than Stallworth's. Stallworth tried to warn him. The shame is in the sentence, and not entirely in the act in Stallworth's case. Interestingly enough, Braylon had partied with Stallworth that night. I know I'm the resident hippie, and I know that there was weed and alcohol involved in both DUI's. All I'm saying is: the # ( ie: double the limit ) is exaggerated if it's the only factor you consider. And finally, Braylon wasn't pulled over for erratic driving. He was pulled over for tinted windows. It went from there. Here is a link that has a lot information on the Stallworth case. profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/system/mt-search.fcgi?search=stallworth+accident&IncludeBlogs=14&limit=20Just wanted to clarify. Clearly I regret my previous rant. If you disagree with both of them, let's just agree to disagree and pretend I never typed 1000 words in this topic today. I'll delete them if needed.

I'm sure karma will try to have its way with me for thinking that way. I'll probably have the lowest score over the next month in this league. =P
Or maybe karma has already reared it's ugly head. Follow the events of my $$$ league team so far:
- Drafted Stafford as my QB1 in a 14 team league. Hass as my QB2. And yes I started Stafford in week 1. - Lost Stewart Bradley and Pozluszny in week 1. Three starters in the first game. It's crazy that I still won that week since passing TDs are 6 pts and Stafford got me 1 point or something. - Lost Reggie Bush on Monday night. Also lost the game by 1.8 points after having a 20 point lead going into the game. Colston's catch was the clincher, and some of you know how many teams I have Colston on. He had Vilma too btw for those doing the math. - Now Ryan Mathews might have a high ankle sprain. When does week 3 start? =P - I drafted Braylon Edwards... for the first ( and last ) time EVER. - I also drafted VJax after the mid rounds. It's a keeper league. AJ Smith is an idiot. I can't believe I thought he wouldn't actually prove to be this stupid.
Just thought some of you might enjoy that... ;D

I get a little sensitive when it comes to the whole DUI thing. My buddy in high school had his mom killed by a drunk driver while she was running errands on her lunch break. Sorry if you feel like I was mad at ya, cause I'm not. Edwards was stupid for not using the car service! Maybe we should talk about abortion next and then talk about the death penalty. ;D

I can't believe I own him. Oh ya! I need to edit my $$$ league saga. Didn't even touch the WR issues! LOL In the end I agree with you Chris, Braylon had better options that night.

As for Braylon's bad judgement, I'll probably catch some flack for this but here goes: Our society needs to get a grip on the drunk driving issue. I wasn't there, so I have no idea. But if he waited until almost sunrise to drive home and got caught at 0.16... he definitely wasn't pounding Jager bombs until he got in the car. If two guys got in the car with him, I'd expect them to be pretty confident that he was in decent shape. The law allows you to legally drive a vehicle with alcohol in your system. I don't condone drunk driving in any way. If you can't get to your car without wobbling or holding on to something, then find another way home. But when I see people getting jumped on for 0.12 or 0.16... it drives me mental. It's pretty well known that you could be hammered at 2am, sleep for 8 hours and get in your car at noon and be over the legal limit. And yet, you'd feel fine. Hungover maybe, but not a threat to anyone's safety. Yes, he had a car service available. And that would have been a better choice... especially in the public eye. But the whole "OMG he was double the legal limit" crap annoys me every time it comes up. Cut yourself off at 0.09 and 0.12 and again at 0.16 and tell me how much of a difference you notice along the way. The dumbest thing Braylon did was agree to a breathalyzer. He was probably within his rights to take a field sobriety test. Derek...I gotta bust your chops a bit on this issue. Your correct on your above points. But, it all makes sense why this uber-talented WR can't put it all together. He lacks dedication, discipline and he's a selfish little bitch. If you are a multi-millionaire player on an NFL team you have a lot of responsibility to act better than the rest of society. He has options (like taking a car service, sleeping it off, or God forbid not being a drunk dipshit at 5:15 in the middle of the NFL season). Let's count the ways Edwards has been a dipshit in this and other instances and then we'll realize why he's so inconsistent and lacks the focus needed to be an all-pro like Andre Johnson (AJ) of the Texans. Before I start, it should be noted, that he was drafted 3rd, AJ was drafted second (I believe) in different years. Both were from topflight college programs. They both have similar measurables and speed. Braylon is a dumbshit and AJ is not! Anyways here is the list (off the top of my head) of the stupid things he's done (I know there are more, but I'm tired): 1. Picked a fight with Lebron's bodyguard. (Hello....you're picking a fight with a bodyguard?! Why??!! That's a losing proposition no matter what.) 2. He lacks the focus and discipline necessary to consistently be a stud WR in both Cleveland and New York. (See his week to week results as evidence). He was a pain in the ass and they shipped him out of Cleveland for almost nothing! 3. He get's a DWI. As a responsible teammate, he shouldn't be out on the town at 5:15 in the morning during the season. He should be disciplined enough to be asleep. I like to have a few drinks and fun like everyone else...I'm sure the guy was out chasin' tail...I get it...I would too...it just wouldn't be at 5:15 in the morning period. This guy has options like a car service. You don't see Fitz, AJ, AP, or many of these other stars who are truly dedicated out doing stupid things and letting their teammates down! Braylon could and should be an All-Pro, a much better teammate and role model. He is held to a higher standard and should not be compared to somebody who makes much less $ and has a lot less responsibility. That is one of the few disadvantages of being a high profile rich athlete. There are many percs! The best part of all is this guy cost himself millions of $! If he'd dedicate himself to football, he'd be able to sign a multi-year deal for $10 million. What a moron!

Different people react differently to inebriation. There are many people, like myself, who can handle their alcohol, but there are also many people who cannot handle even small amounts very well. The latter are the ones who would cause the problems on the road with a BA level of around .1. When I got my DUI back in 98, I drove from the suburbs, down to the city, back to the suburbs (about a net of 25 miles), and got harrassed because I pulled into a "closed" parking lot at 5am, where I so happened to work, and where I so happened to be dropping my buddy off to his car. I blew a .1 on the nose and got thrown into the tank. That being said, I know of a few people who I wouldn't let drive even if they had just 2 drinks. My wife is one of them. Here's another douchebag beard to think about Phish...

I completely agree with you James. I guess that's the point I was trying to make. Braylon is still a douche, end of story. Neil, I agree with you too. Obviously he doesn't have his priorities straight.
