The rules directly state that "rosters lock at the first weekend kickoff (Sat/Sun) of the Championship week" . . . this was technically the kickoff of the Cowboys/Cardinals game at 630 CT on Xmas day. The Irish picked up Grossman for Croyle at 11 pm . . . I leave it up to the league on whether this should be reversed or if it doesn't matter. Do we need a rule change in this instant to allow regular pickups through the game times and lock after the kickoff of the last game of the week? I think we originally had it like this so that no one would snake someone that blows up the last two weeks when team are getting a look at the youngsters. Please post your thoughts below.

It's no problem really as the players aren't that huge . . . this is more about what the rule needs to be going forward. I would imagine Grossman will probably be a drop for you sometime during the draft.

I thought the standard was always shutting down transactions at gametime Sunday. We should be able to perform any transaction we want up until Sunday kickoff, not including players who have already played in Thursday or Saturday games.

I assumed the same thing. I am guessing most,if not everyone, assumed that too.

This is the same As the trade deadline problem we had this year were after thursday games people thought we had reached the trade deadline.
I think we should let his move stand. and also make it clear that these deadline rules should all be at the start of Sunday Kickoffs and that Thursday or Saturday games should not apply.
It's a lot easier to remember then to have to look if there are sat or Thursday games that week.

Sounds like a good proposal to me Gregg . . . at this time post objections if there are any and feel free to continue to discuss . . . if there are no objections by midday Wednesday then this rule will be changed

This rule will become official now. Rosters lock at the Sunday kickoff of the Championship game.
