I don't remember me or Brad signing off on this. I think the precedent has been set over the past couple of years...7 of us did it for a reason. Kinda figured everyone else didn't care enough to play because the pick is insignificant....don't know why we wouldn't stick to the same thing this year? Agreed, we all thought we were playing for pick 3.13, same as we have done the last (2) seasons, don't know why the rules would change now?? Doesn't seem right to me? |

We should have been playing for a draft pick like we have been, but unfortunately, LM never did sign off on it this time around. This challenge is more like a side bet. Just because you make a side bet in consecutive years and everybody like to do it, doesn't make it a necessity every year.
I don't know why we weren't able to get all 12 teams in and a draft pick up for grabs, but it is spilled milk now.

I went through and read all the post and I saw on 2 occasions where people asked if this was for a draft pick. I believe someone also posted that since no LM has signed off on it that it was just for fun. So I don't believe that everyone thought it was for a draft pick. Yes,this is a league where everyone has a say in it,but you can't just decide that a draft pick goes to the winner without consent from a LM. |

I think that stinks!
We played that way for (2) straight years, not only that we had a league majority involved!
Not like a huge asset to have the pick, never the less I won it and want it!
I would like a league wide vote on this....Not sure how a rule changes after being in effect for (2) years?
Will a TD be worth less points next year all of the sudden?

First off,unlike a TD being worth 6 points, this game for a draft pick isn't in the rules...so how can it have changed? Plus Brad and I never said that it was for a pick this year. The intrest wasn't really there to it again this year. If it would of been for a draft pick,I am guessing almost everyone would of done it. Nothing to vote on here.

Chris, He gets pick 3.13. We did it for the last two years and that was why I did it this year. Just because you and Brad where doing something else doesn't give you the right to take that away since neither of you two were involved.

Really? I thought the fact that Brad and I are in charge of the league gives us the right to run the league how we want to. The fact of the matter is that it was never approved. You should of known this since we never stated it was for a draft pick this year,like it was in the past. Other owners even mentioned this in the thread.
Peter,he does not get pick 3.13.

Why don't you talk it over with Brad rather than just "ruling" on the matter? Perhaps, we should vote on this issue? I think people on both sides of the argument make valid points. It's LM's job to manage the league in an amenable manner. That is why we vote on things. Right or wrong, we did this under the assumption that we'd follow the previous two year's protocol. I don't think this is as cut and dry as you're making it out to be. |

I don't want there to be an issue once I win this thing..... ;D IT WAS NEVER CONFIRMED THAT A PICK GOES WITH IT! the LM's job is also to make decisions...not everything has to be put to a vote! you assumed...and you know what happens when you assume... |
