One of the leagues I run does not want to pay to use CBS anymore. I am wondering what websites, besides CBS,ESPN and Yahoo, are out there that someone can recomend...that are free.

The only other free site I've used in recent years in Fleaflicker.com Actually, someone just bought the company ( I think they were owned by AOL ) and the site has been upgraded a little bit. It's got live scoring and is pretty flexible to customize the league settings however you want.

how would you compare it to say ESPN and Yahoo? I haven't used yahoo in almost 10 years so I can't really say. But its comparable to ESPN and has probably taken a step towards being closer to on par with it after the recent upgrade. When you're sorting players (stat leaders/FA's), it uses a similar interface where the whole page doesn't reload. Visually, it's nothing spectacular. It saves your league history and I don't think the site is ever disabled for "annual maintenance" like ESPN... so that's a plus for dyno leagues. The only thing that ESPN really does better IMO is the live scoring window. But aside from that, it's not that far behind. If your league has several members that already use ESPN for other leagues, I'd go with that since you can check up on all your teams with the live scoring feature.

Chris,
I have gone from not being very happy with ESPN to really liking it. As Derek points out the live scoring is awesome, tracks both starters and bench players live, the benefit being that you can toggle back and forth between leagues without having to leave the site. I have (7) ESPN leagues so that to me is the same as (1) league in My Fantasy League to review scoring.
I would suggest both Yahoo and Fleaflicker are a step below. I'd actually put Antsports about 5 steps below, that one kind of blows IMO.

ESPN beats the pants off of Yahoo and Fleaflicker. ESPN is awesome for the reasons FCF notes.

Cosmetically, I think ESPN and Fleaflicker both suck. But since ESPN should in theory have more money available to design a better looking site... I've always knocked them down more than they probably deserve.
ESPN's live scoring is really really good though. I'm surprised that MFL's Gameday hasn't been "enhanced". Although, the lack of graphics is probably a good thing since it never lags or bogs down.

I do like CBS the best...well...except for the price. I do not like ESPN's homepage at all.
