I know there isnt much consolation Derek, but hopefully my story will help a bit.
In a keeper lg ive been involved in for 5 yrs now (every yr finishing 1st or 2nd but losing to a much lesser team each yr) Well, this yr i end up in 2nd, end up playing this complete idiot who i shit you not is absolutely clueless about FF (didnt set his lineup the first 2 weeks, no clue what he was doing, on top of that Mark drafted for him) He has his son set his lineup now, he hasnt been on the site all week and proceeds to beat me with the best team ive ever fielded. (he had A.Foster and M.Williams also). I promptly left a message on the message board and quit the league! (couple people knew i was going to already, but made it fun for the rest who didnt know).
