I am 50/50 on the subject, not responding to pm's is one thing, but I find it very hard to not be able to set a lineup each week. My only hangup is this, if he has a co-owner now and the co-owner takes over almost all duties of team management are we as a league circumventing the waiting list of those who want to join the leage. I don't think that part would be fair to the owners in waiting. Not sure which way I want to vote on this matter yet

Not sure which way I want to vote on this matter yet ^ This was my initial thought at the beginning as well, and has put me back in 50/50 on my determinations as well. As per the lg vote, ill hopefully be talking to Mark tonight to decide how we feel our vote should go moving forward. I just know that if i was on the league waiting list and seen this, it would be difficult to want to wait it out for another owner.

Yes, the only point that has me debating it right now is the fact that there are people on the waiting list and we would basically be circumventing that process by letting the new owner on. I had not thought of it that way at all and it has made me re-think my previous position all together. I am sure Joe is a great owner and is vouched for by some of our membership, but so are the others on the list and they have been waiting for 2 years. If we consulted them all and none of them wanted the team, then no problem doing this . . . but that is not the case. I do not know how I am voting yet, but I do know that I am re-thinking my previous statements on the subject in light of the above.

I didn't think about the implications of recruiting a new co-owner. It could be a cheap way to circumnavigate the waiting list. I am sure that is not Chuck's intention. He probably didn't even consider that problem before it was discussed here, but the fact is a new member would be joining without being on the waiting list. I'm sure my arguments can be taken with a grain of salt, since it is my friend who is first on the waiting list, but I am anxious to have all 12 teams as competitive as possible.
I have alerted Mike as to what is going on. He will be paying attention.

I have thought about it and have decided that it's only fair to give the owners in waiting a chance to take over Crush's team. I by no means have anything for or against anyone in this matter, I just think the fairest thing to do is move on to a new owner at this point rather than have Crush's team be co-owned. Good luck to everyone on this matter

I have emailed Mike letting him know he is the new owner of Crush. I gave him a quick orientation and let him know that his team will be getting spanked for a while. He should post an entry on the General Board within a day.

I let him know that our draft starts May 1st and he has until then to have his team, draft strategy, bearings, etc together.

Hi everybody. I am Michael Irvin and I am the owner who will be taking over for team Crush. From what I hear it sounds as though I have my work cut out for me. It is probably going to take me a few weeks to review the league, and my team to plot a course of action. So I won't really be in a position to discuss trades but I will put out there whhn I feel I am ready for that. I will say my goal is likely to be building the team for future seasons as opposed to short fixes for this one coming up.

Welcome aboard 88 (aka The Playmaker)! Bet you've never heard that before. Good luck...what's your new team's name?

Welcome aboard Mike.
However, I have to be honest here. Had I known your name was Michael Irvin, that might have swayed my vote against you.
If anyone else insists on calling you the "Playmaker" or "88"... I'll insist on a first round pick being "thrown in" on every trade offer. ;D
just kidding... well, at least about the swayed vote thing. ;D

Believe it or not, I have never heard the Playmakers reference...lol. Seriously though, I am not sure what my team name will be yet.

Mike,
Don't forget the "Geographical" Reference in the name, pursuant to the initial request by LM....
