This is my fault . . . I said I would check into single site alternatives and I did not. That is my fault, I have excuses for why it didn't happen, but I am not sure they matter. Fantasy football is not really a priority for me in late June, so it falls behind family, work, wedding planning, baseball wagering and fantasy baseball. There was no need for the level of rhetoric that has come out of both sides here . . . and when I say both sides I think everyone is aware of what I mean.

Thanks Ryan for setting up an alternative for us to look at . . . but you overstepped and I think you know that. Chris was just asking that you shoot he or I a message or a post and say "hey, I'm gonna do this thing and we'll see how it goes" . . . then we say "Ok, thanks, we have been super busy and appreciate your effort!"

Thanks Chris for defending this league and worrying whether this is a good step to take when things have worked so well in the past. But at the same time, I think you know that you are prone to over-reaction and heavy-handedness at times. Ryan is simply asking for some respect as a long time member of this league and we all deserve that. I agree with you that ultimately the founders have the final decision, but he is just as able to leave to league if he thinks we are running it badly. Respect all around!

Other than ESPN not really accommodating our accelerated draft schedule, I have not seen any other issues with it. I honestly HATE the MFL interface . . . as you all can tell by how often I visit my GEDL team. FF might be an alternative . . . I remember doing some mock drafting there and not being impressed, but I will check out the league when I have some time this week hopefully. Ryan I got your invite mail in my inbox.

Now, that being said, these decisions will be made as a group, though Chris and I will have a final say if needed. Evaluation may take a while, so have some patience. I know my real life schedule is crazy . . . all the way to the point where I am seriously thinking about dropping all fantasy leagues everywhere. The season does not start for two more months, so there is time.

IT WAS BRUTAL!!!!! I never took it personal. He is the one that took it to the point of calling me an asshole and a douche in a non funny non ironic way... Not me. But guess what, now it is personal for me... I apologize for nothing... All I did was create the league on FF... that is IT... I am a grown ass man with my own shitty life problems... I dont need to ask Chris's fucking permission or even run it by him if I want to create the league on FF for my LM to check out... Must be out of his fucking mind.

During this whole process I have found out a few things... ill say no names... just opinions that have been sent to me in private messages. 1)At very least 9/12 of the teams in this want to see it consolidated onto one well working site. 2) Those same owners have thanked me for my actions of FF and also most have said that if action is not taken and the league continues in the two web site structure they will not be far behind me in leaving, so replacing a majority of the owners in this league is a very real possibility. 3) I also found out that that Chris is not this leagues favorite person... No one came to his defense... and in my Private messages discussing this Chris has been described to me with words such as "Bitch... Douche... Douche-bag...Hotheaded...Stupid Old Man"... Hell, in a brand spanking new league that still has that new car smell... A new league that Chris was intentionally not invited to.... and Im not even a commish in it! Go Figure! One of the owners (not myself) was actually upset about the Comic Book theme we have because he was looking forward to naming is team #IHATECHRIS... So in short... People don't really care for him... so maybe he should be the one to "slow his freaking role" as he so lovingly suggested to me. 4)Chris now thinks i am a asshole and a douche (and so do his grandparents apparently).... And, that's fine (Hell, he is is probably right!), because I feel like I am pretty well received by most of my LMs...unlike Chris... who I think is a complete TWAT.. and a few others do to.

Thanks for the level head Brad and approaching this like a human being. And, none of this is your fault. At least I don't hold your responsible for the actions of your co-owner. And, after your very much welcomed and reasonable post... We all know know who really make the final calls around here. I and many other owners look forward to your decision on the future of this league...

Couple things...

~I am down with ridding the 2 site system...it has been very time consuming. Even though I am very OCD and have enjoyed having control over the organization of my roster's look and feel on this site, I simply no longer have the time to dedicate anymore.

~I joined this league as a free dynasty for the sake of pure competition and love of the game. I have no desire to start paying money into this league...even if it is under $10 a year. There's principalities in the whole thing, Smokey. Besides, I've played on MFL and am entirely unimpressed, I wouldn't pay for that shit.

~I've now tooled around FF a bit, and it looks real nice. I haven't looked at the functionality of their drafting or message posting capabilities, but the roster setup, player news and info, and trading/FA capabilities look real clean and efficient. Likewise, I have never had a problem with the ESPN site capabilities, but it seems like both sites have no PM capabilities (suppose we could just text) and limited message board capabilities. I also am uncertain about their drafting functionality, as far as having rookies available for drafting as soon as we need them...seems like ESPN has already been struggling with that. I have also noticed that FF allows for picks to be traded.

At the very least, we need to move a healthy majority, if not all, of our league onto one site. At quick glance, it seems like FF will have better functionality to support dynasty and our format. Maybe we could hold onto this PB site for league history, messaging, and drafting (if the potentially new league site cannot supply us with proper drafting capabilities).

maybe someone can shed some light on this . . . how will FleaFlicker handle the draft picks . . . I noticed those slots were currently empty over there. Is that an admin issue to be resolved? Other than the scoring being flawed for our league I like it fine. I had not been to that site before or in a while apparently.

James: this message board will always be property of USFL whether we use it or not. I think it takes a year of inactivity to be taken down. Even then it just takes one visitor to renew that year.

Right now it's setup for a live draft in August. A setting needs to be tweeked to fix that. It looks like under Draft, Edit Draft Options, Select "E-mail draft" is what we would do going forward. We already held the draft for this year though so clicking on "no draft-I'll import the rosters" is probably the thing to do this year. You can't mess it up. Just play around with it and you'll figure it out. It probably also needs to be switched to a keeper league too.

Anyway, I commish a league on FF. It handles draft picks for this and upcoming year's and keeps track of all that. It's just a matter of tweaking the settings and getting familiar with the site. It can be confusing if you don't have enough roster spots open during the draft, but we handle it. Picks are posted on the message board and the commish adds/drops according to the posted picks. We don't have to wait on ESPN or any of that nonsense.

If folks are worried about the league history then they can come to this site that I guess will be maintained by all similar to Wikipedia.

Let me know and I will release the commish rights... and you can make all the changes that are required to run the league as normal. Like I said.. I did the rosters, divisions and such.. but only made some rule and scoring changes... I didn't touch the draft stuff.. as I didn't know if we would actually be using it... I decided i would not go full on.. and if we did you could look over the other stuff and makes the necessary changes. I will (and hopefully Neil) can help out getting it right and a full go.. if you indeed decided to make the move.
