...check out my money league draft just completed earlier. 10 teams, no PPR, standard scoring, start 1QB 2 RB 2WR 1Flex 1TE 1K 1DST, 2 keepers in their rounds drafted (kept AP 5th and went w/ Grant 18th over SJ 1st).
1.03 - Portis (was still wrestling between him, Gore, and Barber as the 3 best available, for my pick)
2.08 - Burress
3.03 - Marshall
4.08 - Big Ben (really like him this year)
5.03 - AP (keeper)
6.08 - Cooley
7.03 - Forte
8.08 - Chris Johnson (simply couldn't pass him up)
9.03 - Evans
10.08 - Chester Taylor
11.03 - Washington (most of you know how I feel about him, couldn't pass him up either)
12.08 - Schaub (probably could've let him slide another round or 2, but I didn't like my options at the other positions)
13.03 - K Jones
14.08 - Mason
15.03 - B Jackson
16.08 - Packers D
17.03 - Graham
18.08 - Grant (keeper)
I tried to keep my expectations modest after my team imploded last year, mainly because of injuries, but I can't help being really excited about this draft. Having AP, and Grant, and still picking in the 1st 4 rounds was absolutely huge.
I was going to take Winslow in the 4th (I like him as best TE this year), but no TEs were chosen yet, so I figured I would see if he, or 1 of the other "Big 3" TEs would slide to me in the 6th round. Winslow was taken 2 picks before my 6th round pick, but I am very happy about Cooley.
I left myself thin at WR, mainly because of the comparative value between WRs and other players left, typically told me to wait for another WR. I'm not worried about it because there are still WRs like Meachem, S Smith NYG, Reg Williams, S Rice, L Robinson, Royal, and C Henry available in free agency, and I only start 2 anyways. I actually considered taking Meachem instead of my kicker w/ my last draft pick.
I entered the rosters on the site and immediately offered Forte and Evans for Colston (doubt that will happen), because my expectations for Evans are very low early season, as past trends have shown, and I need to replace Marshall for week 1. Plus, I have no droppables and I need to free up a roster spot for either my 5th WR or 2nd TE (Z Miller maybe).
