i see you have 1 point for each reception, but is it possible to have 1 point for every 5 rushing attempts.
Im not to sure what the reason for the rule is? is it to balance out the importance of wr's compared to rbs or just to give more importance for a guy who makes many catches compared to a guy who might catch one ball for 80 yards?

A ppr league is designed to make the WR's and TE's more equivalant to the RB's.

I am also not crazy about the concept of PPR, but I decided to try it out when I joined this league.
IMO, I just don't like the idea of a WR w/ 100 receptions on the year getting more FF points than a stud RB who carries 350 times, unless that WR was a scoring machine. Generally, the players who touch the ball more (QBs and RBs) should be a little more favored, as far as overall points go.

The PPr really makes the WR's mean something. I'm not fond of leagues where RB are everything, QB's get 4 points for a TD and no ppr. It seems lopsided like that.

RBs touch the ball way more than WRs, which is why they are the biggest components of FF (along w/ QBs). I simply don't think that a player should be rewarded extra points, just because they are not used as much on the Gridiron. It makes no sense to me. Also, it may level the playing field, but to me that means teams w/ avg or bad drafts can be just as good as teams w/ good drafts, who were smart enough to lock up a pair, or 3 stud RBs. Again, I joined this league, fully understanding that it's PPR, and I will play in this system, but those are my opinions, and why I have not played PPR until now. And if you haven't noticed by now, I am very opinionated, a typical trait of a Commissioner .

All opinions are welcomed . . . I am of this opinion . . . I prefer PPR leagues with a couple of flex positions because of the many creative ways you can put together a roster and win. I think that that creativity is only heightened in dynasty leagues where a single bad draft pick may cost you for years to come. I look forward to seeing how everyone's teams come out and I would not be surprised if our championship game was someone riding a 5 WR set against someone going 3RB/2QB. I think it is this creativity and possibility that is going to make this league great for years to come. It is also why I tried to recruit some of the best players I know to exist because I want to see what truly creative owners can do within a system that ALLOWS them to be creative.

Best Team name IMO goes to the Detroit Undertow. Somehow the idea of a guy pulling people's feet out from under them in a FF forum seems clever and funny--obviously not the case in real life. JMD....Define good draft. When I saw the number of combinations for a starting lineup in this league I salivated at the oppotunity......see above post by the Texas club for the remainder of my thought. This league is intriguing because you may be very successful going against conventional drafting practices. We want something new and challenging. Pick 1.01 in this league is not necessarily AD (AP). Silly as it sounds maybe its Brady??? Can't wait to start the draft!!

I joined the league knowing it was PPR, so obviously that is the system I wanted to be in, or I would have passed on this league. It's called expanding my horizons. I am well aware of the change in drafting strategy and what I will do. I let my opinion be known, now I will take it to "the field" w/ the rules set as they are and kick some ass.
Let's draft!
