I am playing my biggest game of the season, so far, in my money league against the guy who can knock me out of first place and a potential $150 for best record. If I beat him, I should have my division and the best record locked up, but I am having major issues deciding on my starting QB Sunday. I floated my issue on the diehard board but only got a few responses, so I was wondering if you guys could help a brotha out. Should I start...
P Rivers @ PIT (3rd best pass D, and at home)
or
Big Ben v SD (worst pass D)
I really wasn't planning on ever benching Rivers in favor of Ben the rest of the year, but as you can see, the matchups have me second guessing myself.

I hear ya, Ben sucks this year and every time I write him off he has a good game and restores hope just to let me down the following week... But this is a tough call I think I'd still go with Rivers over Ben we've has seen how Bad Ben can be, and I don't think LT will be very successful on the ground so if they going to move the ball it's going to be through the air. Manning had a good game against em last week(240 3tds)

I would go with Rivers. He's having a good year and Ben is just so beaten up this year. I have Ben in my other league and he just doesn't seem to be consistent enough to have faith in. LT should command the Pitt D enough to let Rivers air out a few times.

Just an add on this one . . . Bryant McFadden and DeShea Townsend are both out in the Pitt Secondary . . . if that helps your decision any. Diehards Flash Update!!

Ouch...........Kinda of blew that one...... How did your other players fair? I am really fuckin pissed right now. Not only Rivers, but Chris Johnson, AD, Colston, Marshall, and Witten all underperformed for me. Rivers scored 2 pts and Ben scored 14 on my bench. Gore and the Packers D were my only bright spots this week. All of my players are done and I am leading 82-80, but my opponent has J Lewis playing on MNF. My gut instinct told me that it would be smart to go w/ the best matchup between Rivers and Ben, given the circumstances. I was still 50-50, which is why I decided to ask for help. However, don't feel bad guys because Wrathman also chose Rivers. Exactly how the fuck am I getting knocked out of 1st place w/ my team including players like Rivers, AD, Gore, Portis, Chris Johnson, Colston, Marshall, Evans, Witten, and Packers D??? (Gore, Rivers, Colston, and Witten were all acquired via 2 separate trades, giving up Grant, Burress, Cooley, Forte, Schaub, and Delhomme.) These guys are not simply paper champions, but rather guys (except Colston) who have proven themselves throughout the season. The owner who should be taking over 1st place after MNF has Warner, SJ (as of 2 weeks ago), Graham, McGahee, Hightower, J Lewis, Fitz, S Smith, L Moore, and Scaife. Are you kidding me??? That's good enough for 1st place??? I know Warner and Fitz are weekly monsters, but the rest have been hit or miss w/ Smith hitting most weeks. OK, I vented. I have 2 more weeks to win at least 1 more game then this guy, to retake 1st place and an extra $100.

So that 1 fuckin decision in week 11 ended up being a costly 1. That 1 fuckin decision cost me $150. That 1 fuckin decision cost me best record, division champ, and a 1st round bye all in 1 fell swoop. I am now in a 4-way tie for 1st at 9-4, and the other 3 teams all hold tiebreaker over me. And now, before tallying all the other tiebreaker scenarios, I believe in the 1st round I will be facing the most dangerous team, who is 6-7, but also the points leader, by way of playing the most monsterous 2nd half of the season out of everyone. His team, w/ a core of P Manning, T Jones, De Williams, M Turner, A Boldin, and the Titans D, has been the leading points scorer week 10 through this week. I'm not positive that I will face him in the 1st round (until after the website finishes tallying all the points) but I know how my luck happens in streaks, especially when there is money on the line.
I appreciate your help guys, but I was the idiot who decided to go against my better judgement, ignoring my gut instincts which put me in such a successful position to begin w/. Making that lineup choice screamed trouble to me because of the matchups, but I still made that wrong choice.
OK, I vented. Now to concentrate on earning multiple Championships, and a potential $650 for the Money League.
