1) The Trade Deadline shall be the first Sunday kickoff of the last week of the regular season. Only trades posted and accepted on the message board before that time will be considered by the LM's for approval.
**This rule was used this year and shall hold going forward. ESPN requires for some reason that the Trade Deadline be on a Wednesday, so ESPN may not line up exactly with our USFL rules in future years**
2) Free Agency adds will remain open throughout the USFL playoffs with the same waiver system in place as in the USFL regular season. Free Agency adds will lock at the first weekend kickoff (Sat or Sun) of the USFL Championship game and will not re-open until after the Rookie/FA draft. Trading will re-open at the conclusion of the Monday Night game on Championship Week. Roster Drops to Free Agency are allowed at all times, no matter what.
**This rule too is in effect for this year and all future years**
3) The Playoff Standings and Draft Pick Order will be determined by the following system and will only count for regular season totals:
1) Overall Record
2) Head-to-head record of all teams involved in the tie
3) Total Points
4) Coin Flip
The caveat for Draft Order determination is that teams that make the playoffs will always draft behind teams that do not make the playoffs when their overall records are the same.
**This year's playoffs and draft order will not change, this will go into effect next year**
4) In the event of a tie score in a playoff game the following will determine a winner:
The combined score of the top 5 bench players from each team will determine a winner. If it is still a tie then additional bench players will be added to each teams total one at a time until the tie is broken. Also, in the event that a team cannot field 5 bench players due to IR, inactive or bye weeks then only the number of bench players that the team can field will count for both sides. However, if the game remains tied then the team that is short will be forced to add a "0" when one player is added to each side. In the event that after all bench determinations are made the game is STILL a tie . . . then the higher seed will automatically advance.
**This rule will be used this year as well, in case there are playoff ties**
Is there anything that I forgot or didn't clarify correctly? If no one has any objections then these rules will become official Saturday Night (12/6/08)
Please comment below if you like.
