Why the hell would Owens go to Buffalo. Trent Edwards is a decent QB but not an elite one. This is going to blow up badly in the Bills faces. Enjoy TO Phish !

I smell championship! LOL Seriously, I was just as shocked as you guys are. I had already posted on the diehards site this afternoon when it was still a rumor. Buffalo typically doesn't go after "premium" FA's. But as we all know... T.O can be good for a year. The question is: Can Trent Edwards? If nothing else, this could help Lynch from not facing 8 man boxes on almost every down. I'm shocked, but I'm not freeking out.

And just so you guys know...
1 - I'm sooooooo getting a T.O jersey this year. As the winner of my money league I am required to put the proceeds towards a jersey. It was gonna be Lynch, but after the recent events... I have no choice.
2 - I will trade my left nut and my first 3 draft picks for T.O
;D

This move had to be a move of financial desperation. TO can sell seats at the expense of the team. From what I heard, Jauron had no input into this move. It was all Al Wilson Jr.
Here is why the Bills will not improve soley from gaining TO, and the issues that can arise from this:
1. Evans is the team's primary WR, and TO never likes to play second fiddle.
2. Jauron runs a super conservative offense.
3. J Hardy's development could be stunted.
4. W/ Evans being his guy and TO eventually getting in his ear, T Edwards will go crazy.
Ultimately, Evans stock should rise a bit since he will no longer be double and triple teamed on a regular basis.

Y'allz a bunch of haytaz! Now before I explain why jdmak's predictions aren't accurate, let me just say one thing: I'm not naive, trust me. This could be a very bad thing. Now on to my devil's advocate spiel. I don't know who Al Wilson Jr is, but I do know that Ralph Wilson Jr was in full support of this move. Just because it wasn't the coach's idea, I don't think that makes it a bad one for that reason alone. Jerry Jones was the guy who brought T.O to Big D right? 1 - Evans has been the #1 WR... because they've never had anyone else who could carry that torch. And a lot of people will tell you that Lee Evans might make a better WR2. He's a very good WR, but he's not among the best ever. 2 - Dic Jauron doesn't run the offense. And no matter how defensive minded a coach is... if any coach has an All Pro offense littered with Pro Bowlers I'm sure that the playbook would change. 3 - James Hardy... I am expecting to see more spread formations. That is what the successful teams have been doing. And if Jabar Gaffney can get PT in New England, there's room for a 3rd WR anywhere. And if Matt Cassel can be successful running a spread offense with a couple of great WR options... well, I'll stop there. 4 - Let's just wait and see how much Evans and Edwards like having T.O on the field. Look, I'm not expecting a miracle Superbowl appearance. But this episode of T.O going to a new team is TOTALLY different than the last two. T.O wants to play beyond this year and I'll guarantee that he knows that he has to drive his value up with this move. It may have been a little humbling for him to find out that NOBODY wanted to sign him to a fat contract. Especially a team that is a perennial contender. Edwards is not a Pro Bowl QB and Buffalo is not the front runner in the division so don't be surprised if this plays out differently than it did in Philly.

I meant Ralph Wilson Jr, I was just typing while my wife was talking to me and I was pretending to listen to her. One thing you got to remember is TO is diminishing. He doesn't automatically improve a team he joins anymore, and Buffalo is still relying on Trent Edwards. They might be better off w/ Kitna. ;D If Buffalo happens to improve this year, it will be from another team factor outside of the passing game, or TO graciously accepts the role of a primary decoy and Evans and Lynch (Jackson) benefit nicely.

It doesn't matter who's on Buffalo. They will still end up fourth in the AFC East... behind Miami in 3rd, NE in second and the Division champions J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!!!
