plax gets released kinda shockedi thought this would of happened sooner but as the year progressed i figured the giants would of choose to keep him. If the giants do not trade for Braylon Edwards, i think you see mario manningham lining up in plax's spot he only spent time in pratice playing plax's spot, thats why his numbers were not good at all. I still think the giants go after braylon i think they will offer a 1st, and 3rd and a 5th but i am just guessing. If that doesnt work my guess is mario is the starter with steve smith as the number 2

No way Manningham and Smith both start. Most mocks have the Giants drafting a receiver with the 27th pick (Nicks, Britt or DHB). I think Hixon will start before Manningham. Hixon replaced Burress for the last 4 games. We'll see what happens....I sure didn't see Cutler going to the Bears either. Who the fuck knows what will happen next??

The giants do not play wr's in there first year. Hence why hixon played over manningham. second DHB and Nicks(who has put like 25 lbs on of fat since the combine) will be major busts and britt will be long gone before the giants pick at 27. Secondly do not listen to mocks when it comes to the giants the giants never draft for need they draft based on Best Player available. Hence why they took kiwiunka in the first when they already had strahan tuck and osi

also smith had close to 60 catches as a third wr last year in a run first offense. He has been groomed to replace toomer since he got here he will be the number 2 wr with no doubt. Hixon is nothing more then a glorified special teams player.

The only thing we know for sure about the NY Giants is that Brandon Jacobs will get hurt this season..............(So says the guy who owns Ahmad Bradshaw)... ;D

Unless they bring someone via trade, I think Hixon gets a shot to start. The jury is still out on Manningham. And if Hixon makes that catch last year, the bomb that would have been a 50+ yarder... people would think differently of him. If nothing else... I'm due for something good to happen! Let Hixon start dammit!!!

it has nothing to do with the drops, hixon didnt really perform that well unless he was hit with a quick route, or the oline just gave eli great pass protection. If you have great pass protection and enough speed eventually you will get open. That doesnt mean your good just means the oline is killer

Greg, I respectfully disagree. Hixon is solid. He had a couple of great preseason games and had flashes of briallance throughout last season. Maningham never saw the light of day; next you'll say Sinorice Moss is going to break out and suplant Hixon.

Oh Gregg....
Josh Reed - 56 597 1TD
Steve Smith - 57 574 1TD
See any similarities? Aside from the fact that Buffalo's offense sucked even more than the GMen's?
Dominik Hixon - 43 596 2TDs - Except Hixon's production didn't come from the slot. Smith wasn't listed as a starter, but he played in all 16 games. Most of Hixon's came when Plax wasn't on the field.

I was just trying to show you what an NFL WR3's numbers look like. Josh Reed started last year because James Hardy sucks. Reed will go back to his WR3 role this year.
