I believe it's a free for all, just like in the regular season. Everyone is a FA immediately following the draft. First come, first serve by posting on the boards here.

We will need the ESPN rosters up-to-date to know all of who is available.

Actually, I think after the draft last year, I seem to recall there was an initial waiver run through the ESPN site?? Maybe I'm wrong??

I am not sure what the FA procedure will be yet. Once the draft is over FA pickups will be locked till we determine what we are going to do.

So far, we can't add rookies until after the league draft has been "completed" via the ESPN site. Maybe we will need to claim all our players as keepers and do a draft from there to mimic the real one on this site.
Also, I noticed Chris added other trophies to the ESPN site. I meant to bring this up during last season, but there are a lot of pretty cool "awards" to assign during the entire season, such as week's highest scorer, season's highest scorer, largest margin of victory, consecutive wins, etc, and you can assign a level of importance to each accolade, of 1 to 5 stars. There are also other trophies, banners, etc, to award to those lesser accolades. I think that would be a cool thing to do to allow us non-Championship teams still have some of our accomplishments recognized. I wouldn't mind having a massive trophy case, full of my regular season accomplishments, since I got hosed on my Championship run.

I was just quoting what was in the league rules with my previous post. However, I do agree. Every team must get their rosters up to date on ESPN. I think I saw Sidney Rice on the wrong team in the past few days.

FA will still be locked now that the draft is completed . . . once ESPN opens up, lets me initiate the draft and there is a roster verification for every team then there will be a time posted for the opening of free agency on a first post, first get basis . . . the timing will be announced at least 3 days ahead of time and we will try to make room everyone's crazy work schedule with the opening.
Posts made before the official opening (even by a few seconds) will be invalidated and teh player will remain a FA.
I think that covers everything . . . we are in a holding pattern on ESPN updates right now.

DTow may be against that with the restaurant business . . . which is why I said we will figure it out.

I don't work on the Sundays that are not holidays. I don't work on Memorial Day, and I will be starting my first paid vacation of the year, the week following Memorial Day. It will be a home project/golf vacation, so I should have plenty of time during that week. I also don't work on any non-holiday Mondays or non-holiday Thursdays, in order to work around my wife's and kids' schedules.

Won't we simply all put in our requests and have the system spit out who gets which player based on reverse order of finish last year (2009 Draft Order) ? Not sure why we all have to be around for it?
Pick a date, say a week or two out?
Just a thought?
Not that I want that, my vote would actually be a "Free for all"! ;D

I see about 5 or 6 rookies worth a roster spot, and I really don't know what options are available in the FA market, since the ESPN site is not updated. All in all, nothing worth fighting over, and I currently have nobody I am willing to drop anyways.

I agree, it will be hard for most of us to take a FA over someone already on our rosters....
