I'm going to explain this trade because it does look lopsided.
I really didn't want to get rid of my #1 but I have a feeling I'll get someone's back in return. I got rid of my first round pick in this years draft. I ended up with the #1 overall which I traded to 1.03 and 1.06. I am confident that I'll end up back in the first round.
I wanted to shore up my WRs and Evans should get a lot more open looks because of TO. Also Edwards is more comfortable with Evans than TO. I'm taking a gamble that I hope pays off. I tried to get one of the top WRs out there but no one would trade them for next years picks.
I want to be competitive. I think with this line-up I can be...
