LM,
I propose after this season ends that we make a rule that visiting this message board twice per week is required during the season and once per week during the off-season; obviously there are exceptions to the rule such as vacations and other mitigating reasons, but this should be the minimum expected effort level put forth by owners.
After all, the one of the governing principals that this league was founded on was being "very active" and I think the proposed participation level described above is well within reason.
Please weigh everyone.

That sounds great in concept, but I just don't know how that would actually work. I am all for regular participation as a necessity because nothing pisses me off more than having a trade offer unanswered for more than 2 days. The thing is, there could always be other circumstances or obligations that arise during the season that will completely absorb an owner's time. Although it would certainly be considered courteous and to let the league know when you will be away from the site for a period of time during the season, I don't think it can be required for you to essentially "check in" to let everyone know what is happening in your life.
I absolutely hear you on the participation, I just don't know how we would be to lay down a rule for it. If we did set some kind of participation rule, it would have to involve very minor sanctions, like losing a spot or 2 in the waiver order for a week.

I think the problem with this is that it would be impossible to enforce it. Too much work involved.
You guys just want to trade too much! Maybe you're the problem!!! LOL

James and Phish are both right---Nice in theory but impracticable. It would be nice if everyone agreed that they would try to meet this minimum participation goal though. Example Bulls haven't been on the site for over a week. We need to do better than that as a group!

I am not 100% sure that Sean knows that he has been replaced. I sent him a PM telling him why we replaced him and it still has not be open.

doesn't surprise me if he doesn't open it until the season ends.....Just proves it was the right thing to do!

It was an unfortunate necessity. At least there is no money or prizes involved in this league, which should make the...ummm...divorce easier for Sean.
