I agree to this trade...it hurts trading Hernandez away, but I've got to give to get.

The league office is looking at this trade . . . I am not sure it fits the parameters of what we want to see happen in this league at this time. I'll look closer at it this evening.

Ya I can't see the reasoning for Neil accepting this either

I guess i dont understand it either, who in their right mind would do this trade? i agree, LM should check into this a little further, maybe Bill got access to Neil's computer? Then again, maybe Neil really likes those players?

I really don't see what the big deal is. Here's how I would break it down: Outlaws give: Frank Gore (RB-SF) - Gore is like an aging "silverback" gorilla. He's still the king of the SF backfield. It's possible that he re-injures his hip by slipping on a banana at the grocery store... but he's one tough SOB and has proven it since day 1. Steve Smith (WR-CAR) - He's kinda like a spider monkey. He's small but incredibly agile. He was almost worthless a couple of months ago... but the guy can jump 4 feet up in the air and come down with a banana in one hand and the football in the other. The question is... how long can he keep doing that? Aaron Hernandez (TE-NE) - Kinda reminds me of a baboon. He looks like a fierce SOB one second but then he looks like an ass on the next. I fully support any owner moving him for value while they can. Coach Hood will only have so much patience for this baffoon that drops as many balls as he catches. If QBs threw bananas... he'd probably catch every single one of them. But who knows... maybe he'll be the king of banana island some day. FCF Gives: FCF 2012 1st Round Pick - Ape potential: Unknown. Jeremy Maclin (WR-PHI) - #1 WR of the future in Philly. Sounds like he ate a banana split in pre-season and got an upset stomach but is finally over it now. An up and coming beast of an ape and worth moving the old silverback and spider monkey to get. Emmanuel Sanders (WR-PIT) - Probably the chimp of the deal. Only in the sense that he was "smarter" than Antonio Brown cuz he knew the playbook better and ran better routes. But he's still a fuckin monkey. On the 5 banana scale, I'd rate him as 2 bananas with 3 banana upside and worth hanging on to. Brent Celek (TE-PHI) - Definitely the orangutan of the deal. Could be confused for a beastly ape with his freak catch yesterday... but its usually best to admire this species from afar. One single banana upside. Ultimately, this is a deal where some old bananas got moved for some young and up n coming bananas. I'm not gonna go ape shit just because Bill got some valuable pieces for his run to King of the USFL glory this year. This deal definitely ain't worth losing sleep over. If anyone disagrees with this post than you can just go suck a banana cuz I don't give a fack. Good trade fellas. PS - Sorry about the rant. It was completely unnecessary.

Derek gets the deal...here's what my thought process is regarding the swap:
1. Don't look at the other pieces of our teams...obviously FCF is going for it all and I'm tearing my house down to the foundation and rough plumbing and starting over.
2. Maclin (current and future No. 1 WR in Philly, very consistent and a badass) for Gore (could and usually does get hurt every year. Edge slightly to Maclin based on potential, stats shown so far this year and Gore's shelf life of 1.67 seasons max IMO).
3. E. Sanders (future No. 2 in the Steel City....let's remember his playoff run and rookie year...both pretty impressive and H. Ward is one crack in the sidewalk from an AARP card) for S. Smith (33 yr old WR on pathetic team that I couldn't get shit for two monthes ago). Shelf life 1.67 seasons max...and showing life now for first time in more than a year.
4. A. Hernandez for B. Celek and FCF's 1st (seems reasonable on the surface even if it is 1.12 in the 2012 draft).
I do want to remind folks of several things...Neither Bill or I want to piss off other owners in this great league, therefore this trade can go away after a vote (if its necessary). Secondly, I've seen trades that are definitely more one sided than this trade. Thirdly, this is a free league and I'm embarassed by the Outlaws piss poor showing thus far---I want to win this thing...someday. Lastly, this is a dynasty league and not a redraft league.
Please feel free to weigh in...I've got thick skin and so does FCF.

It just seems way too stacked in Bill's favor.

I think we should vote . . . that's a good strategy. Everyone have their votes in by 5 pm CT and I will review it at that time.

I suppose we should start voting then on all trades moving forward?
I'd like to cast a veto for giving Holmes away for nothing (Titus Young), at least the guys I was getting (gore/smith) were about at the end of their useful life, Holmes is in his prime...
