Renegades pick up Brett Favre and release Justin Forsett. Hell you should trade Brad your first round pick in the KJNL for Favre so you can have him in both leagues. I heard he likes to acquire first round picks for veterans ;D

If Favre comes back, I'm gonna find him and stomp his lip-less face! I could go a long time without seeing the Packers in the playoffs again!

Talk today is he may comeback. I figured it was a low risk high reward move. If he comes back and plays like he did last year I have improved my QB situation by a ton. I would be willing to trade Favre for a player or a draft pick. Since I am a Bears fan I hope he stays retired, although the Bears won both games last year against Favre and the Pack!

Word out of Green Bay is that he is free to come back to the NFL if he likes . . . but the Packers are very reluctant to have him back because of Rodgers and the high draft pick they spent on Brohm . . . I will be keeping him on the roster in KJNL until I find out for sure however . . . I am still covered if Rodgers and Brohm are backups in this league though.
I'd trade my 5th rounder for Favre right now though!!

I should make that deal since I have 6 picks before that one and can't see 6 of my players becoming drop candidates during the course of the year . . . we'll negotiate when I get back from the 4th of July trip Chris.

Pat Kirwin NFL.com... I have talked with a few people close enough to Favre that I now feel comfortable that an 80 percent chance may be a conservative estimate. He's throwing footballs, working out and it's more than an itch to play. Favre is a 38-year-old QB who has an 18-4 record in his last 22 games and is coming off a season in which he led the Packers offense to a No. 2 ranking in the NFL and threw for 4,155 yards and 28 touchdowns. -- NFL.com
Yippie!!!

Here's my question to Favre - How the hell can you play for anyone else? Not as a matter of Packer loyalty but of actual preparation. He knows the Packers offense so well that he doesn't go to training camps or practice hard or anything. What's he going to do if he goes to Tampa or Atlanta and he has to learn an offense and mesh with a new team all over again? He'll have to practice, and go to training camp, and learn to play with a whole new set of teammates.
He might do it but what level is he really going to perform at anyways. If he's not a Packer, I can't see him being a top QB again.

and ESPN is reporting...
HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Three days after a conference call with Packers team officials in which quarterback Brett Favre emphatically expressed his desire to play in 2008, Favre on Friday formally asked by letter for his unconditional contractual release, sources close to Favre and the team said.
He will not go play for the dirty birds in the ATL,he will go play for a contender. How nice would he fit in Minnesota with AP and Berrian? He will end up somewhere and play for someone. The third and fourth round draft picks I have been offered for Favre now don't seem like enough, do they!

Don't get too greedy....I'd sell him at a high price while I could.

a third round pick is not what I'd call a high price.

No thanks. I have been offered a third by 3 other teams. One team offered a third and a fourth.
