on a side note . . . why does everyone in the league keep using the "kiss" smiley Because they are all a bunch of homos. What about these - Back to Favre, I was listening to talk radio the other day and they were discussing the possibility of bringing back Favre, trading Rodgers, and grooming Brohm. That got me thinking. There are 2 and only 2 scenarios that should happen to make the team, coaching staff, and Packer nation all happy. 1. Favre gets reinstated to the Packers and McCarthy makes it an open competition in training camp between Favre and Rodgers for the starting position. If Rodgers beats out Favre, he starts and Favre is 2nd string. More than likely, Favre beats out Rodgers and Rodgers can only blame himself for being 2nd string yet again. If Rodgers loses, he can be shopped around for a trade, or be kept for next year.....or for when Favre stops retiring and unretiring in.....10 years. 2. Favre gets reinstated to the Packers and Rodgers immediately gets shopped around for a trade. This way, Rodgers can still find a starting job (CHI, KC, SF, etc). This would also mean that Favre mentors Brohm to be the future starter of GB. Either way Rodgers is screwed in GB, but may find a starting gig elsewhere. Since it seems more and more likely that Favre will return, these 2 scenarios seem to be the only solutions to make everyone in GB happy and will end up being better for the team to make a strong playoff push.

Only one small problem in your theory there D-Town . . . Favre is not now and has never been interesting in mentoring anybody to do anything having to do with his job. So the Packers would get 1-2 years out of Favre and McCarthy et. al. would have to restart the mentoring job they have been doing on Rodgers on Brohm. All to maybe re-gain the 2nd round pick they used on Brohm when they thought Favre was out of there . . . if Favre starting and Rodgers out of town turns out to be the situation . . . I would be one pissed off-coach.

I would be one pissed off-coach. If Favre plays like he did last year, GB has a shot at the SB. If Rodgers starts, it's hard to say that they can even make it to the NFC Championship. Favre should have stayed retired or decide to play back in March. Since he didn't, this is simply a shitty situation for the coaches to be in, and there is potential to piss off a lot of fans. There is no easy solution, which is why those 2 scenarios I mentioned are the best possibilities for everyone collectively.

NFL Network reports that Brett Favre told the Packers that he'll be coming to the start of the team's training camp this weekend, the ramifications of which could determine his NFL future in the coming days. Favre is currently retired but is expected to ask for and receive reinstatement from the league in the very near future, forcing the Packers to either keep him or cut him. If the Packers opt to keep him, which they've said they would do, they would seek out trade offers, which they've reportedly done. The Buccaneers have emerged as a potential suitor for Favre, but according to numerous reports, Favre would prefer to play for the Vikings, who would trade for Favre if the Packers would listen to their calls (they're not because they are a division rival). Finally, NFL Network also reports that Favre and the Packers may reconsider their respective positions and come to some sort of agreement on his future in Green Bay.
Should get real fun!

Let's get him a JETS jersey so my guy Cotchery can become a top 15-20 WR this year.... im sure it be cool to see farve more often since he would be in the local market, but i think the jets are more then a farve away from making the playoffs. Granted Farve would make jerhico a top 20 wr, i just dont see why it makes sense but who knows maybe the jets think he makes them a 9-7, 10-6 team, there are 4 wins out there if you get farve against the bills and the dolphins, and i think they do play the nfc west this year so who the hell knows it is the nfl and thats why i cant wait for the freaking year.
