i am not getting on you about the trade itself, like i said i have made silly trades that i felt benifeted me and i cant talk badly about that. Its the way people seem to ignore rules(not saying you) or choose to read what they want to hear thats why i am protesting. If this trade were to be accepted it puts me at a disadvantage cause i was smart enough to understand rules. Thats my arguing point and missed out on offers that i rejected because i was able to read basic english

Relax fellas (all of you). LM will get back to us and resolve this; this trade will happen--it just becomes a matter of when it can be executed. I can see all sides of the argument. Its March for God's sake.

I don't mind one way or the other either. I can see both sides of the argument and I can fall either way. One thing I would say for sure though is that if we decide to trade future draft picks, we should not be able to trade them past 1 year after the upcoming draft .... ex/ this year we should not be able to trade 2011 draft picks and on.

start it next season if you guys want it this bad few things
i have had offers that i have passed up because i can read, so ill be at a disadvantage for this
the whole one year offer thing
why cant i trade 2015 if u want it like the pros
the knicks dont have a first rounder this year cause isiah traded it 4 years ago so its all or not if its inbetween then this is bullshit.

I know it's touchy but if we make it so you can trade draft picks far in the future, then it can really mess stuff up for people who take over for a team that leaves. One year in advance wouldn't hurt them too bad if it had to happen. 5 or 6 years would....I don't favor doing it like the pro leagues because that's not what we are. I do understand the value of looking at a current team and gauging how well they might do next year though....

Hahahaha . . . I have a real job now . . . good thing my girlfriend cooked some awesome soup for me for lunch and I was able to come home or this might have gone on for a few more hours.
The intent of the rules was simply that the current draft must be concluded before the future picks could be traded officially. So yes . . . this year's draft needs to be concluded before 2010 picks can be traded under the current rules. If there is an overwhelming desire to change this then no problem . . . we can figure it out and move forward, but the trade proposed here is currently against league rules and must be denied.
I'll start a discussion thread after work.
