I think that McNaab could work in Oakland and give the Raiders a chance to finish in the playoff hunt. Without a QB last year, the Raiders beat the Steelers,Eagles,Bengals,Broncos and Chiefs. They had 2 close loses to the Chargers and one to the Ravens. Raiders have decent WR's,TE and McFadden could be a good RB with a good QB in the mix. Even if they only have Donovan for a year, maybe JaMarcus could learn a few things from Donovan in the year that he is in Oakland. Please feel free to now rip apart my thread!

If they give up a 1st rd pick this yr for a 1 yr deal with Mac-5...its not worth it...there aint no way he is signing a long term deal with the Raiders. McNabb will stay with the Eagles, then end up with the Vikes the nxt yr.

I agree that its not worth a first round pick,I do think it is worth a second round pick. I think that I heard that the Raiders have lost at least 11 games the past 7 years. Donovan would help the Raiders be in the playoff hunt, and maybe rub off a bit on Russell.

people forget AL davis can care less if his employees are happy or not. He will franchise Mcnabb, this trade will backfire, he has no wr's to throw to. its this year or bust, they have no first round next year cause of the seymour trade, so they are losing picks for players that don't want to be there IMO, but then again its not like AL davis knows how draft the players that pan out

also i don't think Jamrcus can ever be turned into a decent qb no matter which qb molds him. His accuracy is awful

Looks like this for the Raiders . . . McNabb deal . . . either trade 2nd round pick for him or get he and a Philly CB for Asomugha Deal 1st round pick for a second this year and a 1st next year . . . great value there . . . this class is looking deep and next year is looking shallow . . . gets you back in the first round next year. Try to sign mcNabb to an extension. I think there are good receivers in Oakland, just no great ones and no one that can make Jamarcus Russell look like an NFL QB . . . I have feeling that he did exactly what I would do in his place. Work my butt off to get that first big NFL contract with the guaranteed money. Then shut it down and live the rest of my life in relativ luxury doing what i want to do. He was smart enough to stick to that plan through college. How much guaranteed money did he get? How many injuries and possible diminishing of life quality will he have sine he shut things down and didn't really try very hard? Seems like a win-win to me . . . maybe he is smarter than we give him credit for . . . he just has a different value system.

Here is a funny statistic I heard on sports talk this afternoon, speaks to the putrid QB play of the 49ers of late.....
McNabb has more 300 yard games @ Candlestick Park than Alex Smith has total!
What a putz that little sissy is, come on SING nut up and lose the guy!

why don't the Niners go after McNaab? with Gore,Vernon and Crabtree they would have a great offense. the NFC west is up for grabs with Warner gone!

Hell he is going to end up giving up a top ten pick for Richard Seymour. Were do you guys think he will end up cause its obvious he wont be in Philly?

If McNabb wants a title, he will do everything in his power to stay away from Oakland, St Louis, Buffalo, etc.
Cleveland could work, but it would take a few years for a potential title shot. Washington would really work, but Philly wouldn't trade him to them. Carolina might work, but it looks like Fox is hanging his hat on Moore. San Fran would work, but he might be too expensive for a system requiring more of a game managing QB.
Outside of Oakland, I like Arizona or Minnesota. He is better than the Cardinals' QBs, and would keep them right in the SB chase. In Minnesota, he would take over for Favre in like 3 years. ;D

I heard a sound bite from McNabb that he would like to play for the Niners, problem is the ownership group is void of any real football wisdom anymore. Sing was obviously a great player, but as a coach/GM (or whatever else they are trying to call him lately) he is still learning on the fly....In short, the organization is too stupid to chase him!

Just a real shame Eddie was driven out, I firmly believe if he never left the Niners would have at least 2-3 more trophies!
